  2. Kim H, 7 December 2009

Wow – great list! I think the open space on my HD got much, much smaller.

I think Coda costs $99 though?

Either way, gonna be playing with these !

  3. Klim, 7 December 2009

Confused… since when has Pixelmator or Freeway been free?

  4. John, 8 December 2009

Nice list, a short description of each app would have been handy though :)

Nice list.. Thanks for Free mac apps

  6. Mark, 8 December 2009

Your definition of free and mine are different. Coda, for example, costs $99. Transmit also isn’t free.

  7. Michaelic, 8 December 2009

    Nice round-up of apps.

For the record, though, Coda + Transmit definitely aren’t free Mac App. Inexpensive, yes. But definitely not free.

  8. Carter, 8 December 2009

    Great list.

I thought you said they were free?

    Color Schemer, $50
    That’s certainly NOT free

i really sorry to those visitors who saying there is many apps are’t free, i just consider beta and few months valid products as well, so i will care next time in my articles.

Good list of Mac Design apps, but many of those are not free: Coda, Rapid Weaver, Pixelmator, CSSEdit, Transmit, Color Schemer, Think, Espresso, LineForm, Expression Engine, etc. I believe the non-free apps are worth their cost, and provide excellent alternatives to some of the more popular, but very expensive software packages.

I don’t know what you guys smoke, but about half of the apps on this page are not free at all. Trying to create a bit of buzz?

  13. Jon Bergan, 20 March 2010

MindNode is definitely an awesome little app. Glad to see that one in there. Of course Coda made it in there too. Some nice apps though and some I definitely need to try!

    Thanks for the roundup!
